The heart of the great journey

Who on earth can survive an expedition all alone? There is, in general, always a team of helping hands in the background. For the past 20 years, as well as for the past years spent on the “Great Journey”, our extreme expeditions have mostly been accompanied by camel men, carriers, mahouts, translators, drivers, local guides, and helpers in the basis camps. Unfortunately, it is impossible to list all team members by name, but mostly they have been and will be mentioned in our publications and reports.

In the following, however, you can find detailed information on the people and animals who form the heart of the “Great Journey”.
